Privacy Policy

The short version

Every tool on BasaltKit runs entirely in your browser. The text, files and data you work with never leave your device — they are not transmitted to, stored on, or visible to our servers, because the tools do not need a server to work.

What we do NOT collect

  • The content you paste into any tool (JSON, SQL, XML, text, images, tokens, passwords…)
  • Generated results, converted files or compressed images
  • Account data — the site has no login and asks for no personal information

What we do collect

  • Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and referral sources. It is cookieless and contains no tool content and no personal identifiers.
  • Google Analytics (GA4). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (which pages are popular, how people navigate). It sets first-party cookies and may process truncated IP addresses and device information. It never receives the content you paste into a tool. You can opt out with browser extensions such as the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on.
  • Local preferences. Small settings (such as your preferred indentation or how you use the tools) may be stored in your browser's localStorage. This stays on your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard, short-lived request logs for security and abuse prevention. These logs contain IP addresses and request metadata, not tool content.

Advertising

We may display advertising to keep the tools free. When enabled, ad partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies subject to their own policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings at any time.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and cookieless web analytics.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated traffic and behaviour measurement.
  • Google AdSense — advertising, if and when ads are enabled.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data, and we never share tool content with anyone — it does not leave your browser in the first place.
